Thirty years of Wildlife Victoria
For thirty years, Wildlife Victoria has provided an emergency response and rescue service for injured, sick or orphaned wildlife. The organisation draws upon a vast network of volunteers to assess, rescue, treat, rehabilitate and release animals and birds into the wild. Founded in 1989, the organisation has steadily grown and today rescues some 50,000 animals a year.
This beautiful photographic collection showcases our unique Australian wildlife – from hand fed tiny orphaned possums to grand old kangaroos basking in their natural habitat – this book will appeal to wildlife lovers everywhere. It also pays tribute to the remarkable people who founded the organisation and those who so generously volunteer their time. Packed with useful hints and tips so we can all better respond to animals need, this book is a celebration of people and nature working together in harmony.
